Done this twice already :/ everything will be going fine and then vdj 8 will crash, and relaunch itself, but at the exact point where it crashed, however it no longer would be going thru my decks soundcard (ddj sx) and would be playing thru the laptop built in speakers... Osx10.9.2

Same problem here, macbook pro 13'", core i5 -2.5 Ghz, 16 GB ram, OSX 10.9.2. Vdj crash and restart a lot of time ramdomly without any connected device.

I detect that the crashes happen when I play a songs that content accent in the title or in the artist name, example: morenamía" , silverío, guarajé... Or words that content ñ, like niña, señor .... Vdj crash or not respond.

Can you still repoduce this issue with the actual build?

Still crash and restart in VDJ 8 (1742.644).
I use Macbook Pro13" , Core i5 2,5, 16GB ram, HD4000, 750 -7200 rpm hard drive under Mavericks.

if VDJ runs only with the internal HDD now I have found no problems, but I close my WD 2TB (My Passport 071D) with Firewire, then he gets hot and then stops responding or freezes ... (must be the process manually kill)
I do not get a crash report :(
