Hi guys, finding myself unable to use my onboard laptop speakers with the new version.

Here's my output setup...


And here's the error I get....


I've enabled Wasapi shared in advanced settings, it had no effect.

Try enabling wasapiShardedMode in config
 
I have (see bottom of my post) still no good
 
Virtual DJ is NOT RELEASING sound card drivers to other devices in windows 8. If I tab out of vdj i should have FULL control of my usb soundcard for youtube, etc
 
Do other programs output sound without any issue whilst VDJ is open?

Your post is not related to this issue!

But your answer here:
Try enabling wasapiShardedMode in config
 
Cauthers, I think you need to reboot. I had that same error and a reboot sorted it.
 
Thanks groovindj I'll try that. No other audio (firefox/windows media player) works when vdj is open but resumes when i close vdj.

That's the wasapisharedmode option as mentioned above. Exclusive mode (default) prevents other software accessing the soundcard.
