Are you using the text plug in located in the video effects panel, or the text plugin located in the visualization panel? The one in the video effects panel, is from version 7, and has not been updated. Use the one in the visualization panel, the enter command does work, and it has more colors.

Thanks very much for the feedback will have a wee bash at that today.
I was under the impression that was just for text input on videos or visualization effects not for stand alone txt.
