Virtual dj 8 is causing problems with audio(I get a little crackle, distortion and popping). I tried it on two different laptops and I get the same thing on both. Virtual dj7 and another program that I have (Hint: Starts with a letter S)doesn't have that problem. Spoke to some techs from virtual dj and they think it's my hardware but it's not for I am a tech and mechanic myself. So since they don't know the problem so I'm asking you guys, the community for help.

Go to options, audio, performances, ultralantency AND DISABLE IT ( say no).
valid for virtual dj 8. Try latency options with virtual dj 7.

I had a similar issue few days ago with the ddj-sr soundcard. Turned out to be i had an old and new pioneer driver version installed and they must have been conflicting with each other. I deleted both and just used the VDJ8 driver and all problems dissapeared.
