Do you use version8?
Normaly you can select a different camera.
Just open the camera plugin GUI and use the relted slider to change the camera.

I made a video to show you the problem I am facing.
I want to use my iPhone as a camera and going through VDJ to project the image of the phone.
when I use the slider to select another camera, vdj detects nothing.
With v7 it worked very well under windows but on mac impossible?
Does anyone has a solution, thank you in advance

finaly i found a solution , on Windows via bootcamp it works with Mobiola Webcamera application, and on mac it works with pocketcam application , don't ask me why O_0'
