Tema: Lock Cue Points................. - Page: 1

Esta parte del tópico es antigua y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Is this a bug,

I have to hit the padlock to lock my cue points for EVERY single track???

I figured if I hit the padlock it would lock basiclly every track I load but it seems this is not the case.

Is something wrong here??

Yes i agree - it should remain on when a track is reloaded.

Need an option in settings:
resetCueLockOnLoad - YES? NO?

Have reported.

Awesome!! Thanks Dan, I thought I was going crazy because the lock wouldn't stay, lmao!!

@Bob if your reading this Dan answered my questions. It's not a bug.

Please can we get Dans idea implemented in a future update??

I disagree. LockCues is a track specific action, and it should stay that way...
Basically the concept behind it is to lock the cue-points on tracks that you have set all the POI's as you want them and you want to protect them from being modified/deleted by accident.

I can't imagine why someone would want to lock the POI's on his entire library, especially since once locked, you cannot even set a new POI...

What about the user that has all his cue points set exactly as they wish? No need to change them.

I'm not suggesting the current 'default' method should change. But having the option should be available for those who do not want to change cues inadvertently, and do not want to remember to press the lock button after each load.

I would like the choice..........

If I need to make a change its as simple as clicking a button but I don't wanna click this button for EVERY single track, that's crazy plus that could take days if I keep at it.

I've rebuilt my libaray since 8 was first dropped, IF I had known I had to lock each track I would of (wouldn't of been happy about though). I'd just like to see the option, I mean it can't hurt anything can it??

Just remember to unlock each time you load a new track :P

Agreed.

I also think it would be better to have the choice over the default setting as beatbreaker said, as I think it would be easier/quicker to unlock a track to work on it rather than having to lock each track seperately.

You could do a Find and replace action on the database with a text editor.

+1 need a global CUE point lock (so you can use POI editor to set them and not risking deleting them in a live situation)

i ve never bothered with cue points because of this - too easily lost

I'm not sure how you could easily lose cue points though...
On most controllers some additional delete/long press/record button is required, and on the skin it's right-click.
If you frequently have that happen, don't you have problems with other buttons too (accidentally pressing stop during a mix for example?)

I'd just like a choice. Hit this ONE button for EVERY SINGLE TRACK is becoming a pain.

True, it's the machine's job to do simple repetitious tasks, not the user's.

Just advised breaker, I may as well share with everyone

Ok follow these instructions

1 back up your database

2 open your database with a text editor and press Ctrl+H, (AKA edit>find&replace or edit>replace)

3Find
<Infos

Replace with
<Infos LockedCues="1"

Replace all

4 Save

That's it

Loco for the win!!

Thanks bro for the info!! I think Atomix is gonna stick this out kinda like the stupid glare on the Rythum wave but unlike that at least we have work around!

Thanks again! 👌

Which skin do you use? You could have it on a custom.

The script is

lock_cues
