I would like to request the ability to add variables into the file names for recording.
For example, the record file name might be listed as: "rec_%Y%m%d-%H%M%S_%i.mp3" It the record button were pressed at 10:00:00am on 3/16/2015, the resultant file name would be rec_20150316-100000_0.mp3.
If I recorded for 15 minutes and then stopped for 5 minutes and pressed the record button again, a new file would be generated named: rec_20150316-102000_0.mp3.
The %I represents an increment, so the record has an option to split the file every X minutes. If you recorded a show for one hour, the resultant files if you chose to split the file every 30 minutes would be rec_20150316-100000_0.mp3 (first 30 minutes) and rec_20150316-100000_1.mp3 (second 30 minutes).
I no longer program, but I think this is built into the file save object of the operating system, so it may actually be available to your programmers to institute. I'm not sure of the full list of variables available, but these seem to be standard and available to most programs that use this feature. I'm not sure how many of you users could benefit from this capability, but I would consider it a significant enhancement and could probably be done very easily on one of your update/improvement cycles.
