Had this occur several times, after a successful night of 4-5 hours of operation the software will become unresponsive when closing, windows will present the message with wait or force close, waiting means waiting forever.
Windows 7, fast laptop, CDJ/DJM HID setup

Might be related to a bad video driver.

There is a similar problem with some Denon (not sure about the brand) drivers who fail to release the device on exit.
So maybe a bad driver problem.
