I appear to have downloaded to cache a song with 4 very nice hot que points !?.
SCRATCHES HEAD.

LOL that saves time !

Some CU tracks do indeed have pre-assigned cue points.

It's not that some songs wont load, rather they load very slowly, and I move on to the next.
Mind you I'm using my phone hotspot to use up my data allowance since I start a new month next week.
I don't as yet know what works well, and what doesn't.

That slow to download song has 8 hot cue points !
By the way these are uk top 40 songs.

Which song is it - i'll compare here

"Where are U now" 8 hot cue version.

It's a pity we can't create sub-folders in the "Downloaded content" folder.
It could rapidly become unmanageable.
Hm maybe we can !
----->My Documents/VirtualDJ/cache and just manage things there...we'll see.
That does not work.

The first folder I would want to create would be "UK Top 40".

OK so you can create a new folder on your hdd, call it what you want, and move the relevant cached songs.
You may need to base things on the "Downloaded content" folder, and relocate every moved file to enable cache refreshment every month.
I just don't know.

You can create filter folders that only pull from the path to the CU directory.

Can you give an example Blckjck ?

At the moment I have a nice new folder called UK Top 40 which lives in the cache folder. I have set this folder as a favourite, hence it is immediately available in the vdj explorer window.
It works, but I don't know if the cache will refresh.

I've got a usb cable running from my laptop to keep my phone charged, that might mean usb tethering is preferable if it keeps the phone charged?
There again it might be wise to keep it plugged into a proper charger?
I'm still using it as a hotspot at the moment, its been running all afternoon.
The phone battery charge level is100%.

@ bigron
if you make a virtual folder(that's the red ones) inside of another normal folder ie 2015 singles then you can drop your CU files(or at least a link) into them.
mine looks like this;

maybe there's a better way, I'd be interested to find out.
regards
ray

Nice one Ray, I think that is a great answer.

That was easy!

just want to add that Virtual folders are so useful, they've changed the way that I organise my music so much, and you can nest them!
btw. that's the first song "where are u now" that I've downloaded that has had hot cues already in it, that's amazing, so it's thanks to you for pointing that out.
