I really would like to dj rap, but just have no idea where to start or how.Trance is just so different than rap. Can you guys steer me in the right direction?

have a look at some of the remix services like x-mix, select mix, or full tilt to name a few they offer very mixable version of rap and hip hop probably much easier to get started with tracks set up to be mixed :-)

Hip hop and rap usually requires shorter, quicker mixing, cuts, mixing at the drops. To blend two or more tracks you might have to mix on the snare drum or hand clap rather than the kick drum. And as wickedmix suggested, find tracks with intros and outros, can make some of those harder to mix tracks much easier to work into your sets.
