I have a long standing live show running on an internet radio and the chat of the station uses IRC. I ran a search here on the VDJ forums but came up empty. Is there a way to update an IRC chat room with the currently playing track on VDJ or could a plugin be created to do so ?

If it is possible for an IRC bot or plugin to read a file you could use this tool.
It'll read your history file an writes the current playing track into a txt file.
