Loaded new laptop with external hard drives into VIRTUAL DJ. most folders when opened are filled with (RED X's) I don't know where those files are located. can you help me??

Right-click one of those files, and open Tag Editor.
At bottom of Tag Editor you can see where the database thinks the file is supposed to be.
Perhaps you renamed the path, or move the folders outside of VirtualDJ
