Tema: Stems calculation causes frame drops in video output

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi all,

I notice when I load a track that needs stems to be calculated, while they are being processed, my video output drops to like 5 fps. It looks bad on the big screens at the club, and I always thought VDJ put priority towards the output, yet that clearly isn't happening here. CPU usage isn't spiking much either during this time.

Having done programming work with Spleeter myself, I'm pretty sure what's happening is the stem separation is taxing the GPU and not leaving enough for smooth video output. The stems certainly need to be calculated but that process should just take longer instead of affecting the current output.

Wondering if there's a way to get Atomix to address this.

Thanks in advance!

If you are on mac, you can try the mathEngineShareGPU option.
There's also mathEnginePriority although that would mostly affect CPU sharing, but worth a try if that is the bottleneck in your case.
Finally you can try useLowPowerGPU. If you don't use heavy video effects or transitions, it might be sufficient for the video part, and then the high power gpu is free completely for stems.
