Tema: Reload Tag Info For Single File without wiping Cue Points
adamPRO SubscriberMember since 2022
I listen to my music throughout the week, and rate songs out of 5 in another app, which writes these changes to the file's respective id3 tag.

The only way to refresh this information in VDJ is to select multiple files and then click "reload tags". This means I also lose the cuepoint info for two tracks, when I simply wanted it to load the updated tag info.

Is there a way to stop Reload Tags wiping all the cuepoints/loops I've saved?
Is there a reason right click "Reload Tags" isn't available for a single file?

Appreciate your help!

reloading tags does not erase cue points they are not even stored in your tags :-)

1) Change the "getCuesFromTags" option to "for new files" so that it will not try to reload the cues when you reload tags.

2) Yes, because for a single file you can open the Tag Editor and then use the small arrow buttons beneath each field to update it if you wish so.

This is a slightly tedious process, especially if you updated multiple fields in that one file.
