I have tons of karaoke songs. Without vocals of course they won´t have any AI-lyrics.
But also I have the same identical songs WITH vocals.
Is there an easy way to share the lyrics from another song?
I tried copy and paste from the lyric editor of the Vocal Song to the identical Instrumental Song and this did´nt work (as expected)
Is there a separate file to every mp3 containing text and word-positions...?
Then I could just copy and rename it...
Or is there another quick way?

Was thinking the way we can bulk analyze BPMs etc

Remember, this is AI extraction. Therefore bulk processing (batch extracting lyrics from many songs) could easily overload the AI server. At least for now, the initial time period that all VirtualDJ users are going to try it.
Ah yes true thanks for clarifying

Update: I left the AI Audio Signature scanning going overnight, and it's given me some results....

It's telling me that the clean version of Gold Digger and the explicit version are the same.

In fact a lot of vocal vs instrumental versions are being listed.

[later] After closing and restarting VDJ the list is gone. Is it not stored somewhere?

It's not a list.
It's a smart filter. So it should query the database again and show the results

That''s not happening. If I select the green folder again, it shows me nothing.

It works fine here.
I browse any folder.
I close VirtualDJ
I start VirtualDJ again..
I click on the "By AI Audio Signature folder"
I wait a few secs (let's say 5 to 10)
It shows about 10000 possible duplicates.

PS: The audio signature is stored inside VirtualDJ database.
Therefore it should work unless you restored your database ?

Just tried again and this time it's working...

Oh no, I closed and reopened VDJ and it's blank again.

For now I name the sung version like the Instrumental (f.i. jingle bells Karaoke) and load it.
The AI writes the lyrics (in which folder or file I unfortunately don´t know)
Then I swap the sung version with the instrumental.
Both files are exactly the same length.
And so the lyrics are written in the instrumental.

But that takes quite some time for several hundret songs.
So I ask again: Where are the data from the lyrics? Searching the VDJ-database is unsuccessful.
The Songs with the new lyircs inside have cuepoints, flags, automixpoints etc. but no informations about lyrics...
Any ideas?

(Why not use the sung version and simply turn off the voice-Stem? Cause I use Studio Quality Instrumentals with Backing vocals.)

Some of my music files come with a .lrc extension, containing lyrics and their timing.
Shouldn't the IA be fed with this data to enhance the quality of the automated lyrics?

.lrc files only have timing per paragraph, not per word.
VirtualDJ needs per-word to be able to use this on the waveform, so it'll need to reprocess your song with the AI even if you have some .lrc

In the file extra.db, but it's a binary database in sql format, not a text file like our regular db.

Waveform, no AI, I was expecting some improvement, I didn't notice anything different.

Just watched the overview video from Klaus. Great work guys.

Love the effect list. Allows me to create a list of those that only work with vinyl/ line in. ( I would love a combi stacked effect where two effects get triggered on one virtual effect slot in future?)

Speaking of ideas, just imagine using the AI profile on the line in to ID your playing vinyl, so it could be added to your played history ( with unique icon maybe) and also trigger recommendation engine / linked tracks from your other owned vinyl! Faster BPM detection would also be really helpful too please. I appreciate vinyl DJs are not your primary user base though.

Also please investigate whether the AI profiler could reliably flag explicit versions of tracks ( this is difficult, I know).

I understand your answer, yet it was not exactly my point.

The IA works with inputs (a knowledge base) – the more important, the best it works – and as .lrc are not 100% trustable, vocal decoding isn't either, my thinking was that when VDJ “prompts” the IA to decode the vocal track, it could add the .lrc file (or any other significant input – I'm not expert in karaoke files) as additional input to enhance the results.

I understand your point, and it makes sense. unfortunately, the way our engine works, it's not possible, and that would affect only 0.001% of users, so it's not something we're going to rewrite our lyrics engine for.

Now we just need a proper tutorial on how to add lyrics/edit them

So far this new version seems smoother (more stable), the sound engine feels like it's improved a tad too.

The echo effect though, it's worse than the one before, it's harsher, fades in too sharp.

Aloha VDJ Pro Team, users,

Is it recommended to install 2026 over 2025 or new install?

Mahalo...

installed the version from the forum announcement...but I don't see anything new at all?? Do I need to enable something in options to get the lyrics, effects, etc to show up?

RESOLVED. For some reason I had to install it 2x and then it worked

I really like this update.

Would it be better to move the lyrics to the bottom of the lower waveform? Depending on the amount of lyrics it sometimes take a second to find the CBG. Or maybe as an option on the skin for preference.
