I’ve been testing the new VirtualDJ 2026 release — amazing update, lots of cool new features!
There’s only one thing I noticed regarding the Echo effect.
In the older version, when you pushed the Strength knob to the maximum, it would activate the LOCK function automatically.
In the new Echo, pushing Strength to 100% now behaves like a full dry/wet, so the result is basically just the delayed track, without the LOCK-style freeze.
I’m not asking to bring back the old effect, especially since the new “Legacy” menu now lets us load the older FX versions — which is great!
However, when I trigger Echo from my controller, it always loads the new Echo.
Does anyone know which action name I should use to call the Legacy Echo effect instead?
I’d really appreciate the help!
