Hello, wondering if anyone can help me out.
I was still using 07 for the longest time because I was so use to the layout but,
there was a vocal effect that allowed you to either remove vocals or the instruments and you could toggle between them. Does this still exist in newer version? Under a different name?
Or has anyone created a plugin similar since then.

I'm surprised anyone used that, because it didn't really work back in the day. But it does work now due to the whole wave of stems separation tech that has come out on all major DJ platforms, and VDJ is one of the leading ones. It has been the single biggest new feature in the DJ world over the last few years
So yes, it's definitely built-in now in a few different ways (acapella vs instrumental, auto-karaoke, stems on eq knobs, stems FXs, pads and more), and some controllers even have acapella and instrumental buttons now
