I have tried several tips given in this forum, concerning mixin garage tracks. i still cant get the hang of it. beats all over the place, which sounds rubbish. what are the basic procedures to perform a tight mix with this genre of music??

Well I think that by 1. matching the bpm
2. reducing the bass in the player
that you are leaving
4. fade new song at just the right time

p.s. try looping the ending to the first track and mixing the new one in to that beat, then fade the old track out.
