If I buy a PC with 1gb ram and a high quality soundcard, will it matter if I skimp and save on the processor speed i.e. go for an AMD Athlon XP2000+ instead of AMD Athlon XP3200+ or will this stuff things up for me. By the way the longest tracks I will be loading into VDJ will be 15 mins, therefore will I need 1gb ram or could I use 512mb ram. (Basically I am trying to purchase a PC for dj work and still be able to buy a drink on the night!!!)

I use it on a laptop which is an athelon XP 1300.
My laptop has only 512 of ram. I often wish I had more ram, but I haven't had any major problems. I use it out in the bars and clubs 3-4 nights every week, and I don't buy my own dringk, they're part of the deal!
