I want to mix with headphones only, i have a Hercules DJ controller.

do i need to make a cable or is there an alternative?

Just put your headphone cable into output 1 of the console.

how do i listen to the current playing deck and the other deck??
 
i'm not sure what you mean Buteskin.
do you want to hear both outputs of deck a and b at the same time?

is that without an external mixer?
you could configure VDJ to put all audio thru 1 output (if that's what you mean)
 
ok, i use vdj with djconsole

i only want to record a mix (to mp3) without using speakers to listen to the live mix.

now i have to put on the amp, listen to the live output wich playes on the speakers, and listen to the next song with my headphone. (only one ear)

i am sure i'm not the only one who would like to do this

maybe in future releases of vdj it would be possible to press some keys on the keyboard to enable me to listen to live and notlive signal, and also mixed, so i can listen to the 2 decks to mix em up right..

have to go now, i have a nasty stomach flue..
