Hullo Captain...:o)

You can buy the product from the website http://www.virtualdj.com/purchase where you enter your payment details and then you receive a download file to save to your drive. Once you purchase the program, you get a serial number which transfers you from a 'No Licence User' to a 'Professional Edition User', giving you access to all the functions available and other exciting add ons like samples and plug ins you get from here too.

You also have access to endless amounts of advice from experienced users from the sight...I'm sure you've seen just some of the information that is available. The guys on here are extremely talented in what they do, and they can help you with ANY aspect of the program, computers, setups, anything related to this.

The support team are great too if you have any hassles that we as experienced users cannot help with.

As for turntables, there are special Time Coded Vinyls that you can use with regular tt's. These are available from the online shop http://www.virtualdj.com/shop/ as well as other pieces of hardware such as the XP10, DAC 3 controllers, etc.

The site is pretty cool. It's just recently undergone a major overhaul, so I think we're all still trying to get used to it!!!

There are many great features on the site, including a blogs page http://www.virtualdj.com/blog/ user map http://www.virtualdj.com/map/index.html and even a radio function http://radio.virtualdj.com/listen/ where you can listen to other VDJ'ers mixing away.

If you have any questions, just let us know. If one of us can't help you, someone out there will be able to.

Welcome to Virtual DJ!!! Hope to see you as a full user very soon.

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...:o)

Captain,

Pionara has said you everything you need. I just want to point that the first smart step is to buy VirualDJ, have a good headphones and a 4.1 or better sound card.

A computer that fits this requirements is cheaper than buy other hardware options.

If you want to try Turntables, then you need a soundcard like the Maya 44 USB or the DJConsole MK2, 2 turntables and a mixer and TimeCoded Vinyls.

Good Luck!
