everytime I have ddj look up my mp3 it scans my whole harddrive for them. Is there a way to point to certain folders in order to search only certain places on my harddrive or do I have to have it scan the whole thing everytime. I added one song to my harddrive and wanted to add it it but I had to wait 20 minutes!!

Maybe there are serious problems with your PC's performance or you have a million new tracks on your HDD. Is your HDD external ? Also, R U choosing to perform extended analysis on each file ?
With about 3000 tracks, my HDD scan takes less than 5 seconds (non-extended analysis). vDJ seems to have a great algorithim that only looks at new tracks and not ones already processed.
I'm confused about this one.

I keep 25,700 tracks on an external firewire dirve. On my slowest computer it takes about 1 minute to do a drive scan on that drive.

Maybe he's tryin to scan with the full analysis of each track, that slows the process a lot...
