Seems like alot of unlicensed users are looking for help with full software problems ..now even though some maybe legitamate full users who did not put it a serial yet ..alot are just looking for more freebees or help from full users who have paid. My thing is since it doesn't look like there will be a forum only for full users then why not give the unlicensed user a diffrent color name when posting or some sort of flag for our full users to know what to and not to help them with. after all alot of times everyone is so eager to help someone that the fact that the person being help is having a full user problem with a trial version doesnt click right away

I understand what you're saying. I however disagree to an extent. I had the trial version and encountered some issues. As I understand it, the trial version is a fully loaded package. Someone correct me if I am wrong. While test driving I did have a problem with the karaoke portion. I was using a fully legal trial version and not a cracked version. I appreciated the help that I got although I was not a licensed user. Perhaps something that would indicate that they have been on the forum more than the 20 day trial limit may be where you are heading?
I just know that if I could not get it to work for me during the trial period, I was not going to buy it. Thanks for all the help in the beginning VDJ users! :)

In fact, you can see it's a "No licensed user".
I think we may help them too, maybe with less priority, but many of this users finally bought it after our support (like 'd rocks').

I don't see the point.
If a user is tagged as a 'no-licenced user', give him just a 'no-licenced-leveled' help. If he pretends he is a full user, just ask him to enter his serial.

The question is: no licensed maybe are with demo version trying.
Sometimes, at the beginning you have questions about the soft. So they ask at forums.
That's why I think they need HELP too, but not priority.

The way it works with some other software companies is that when you get a demo / trial you also get support from their support staff and temporary registration on their forums.
The trouble with these companies is that their software is crap, the support is crap and the forums aren't anything like as good as this one.
Hope I'm not offending anyone - this is just my opinion of other software. VDJ Rules OK

Yes, I also thought on a kind of DEMO SERIAL you can register at the FORUM.
Could be a great improvement.

i agree with slash 4 ,
its a bit of a crazy thing to have demo serials , as the database on the server would probaly have to double insize

indeed ;-)
I believe that there is already enough work without extra serials...

trial is a fully packed version but keep in mind alot of "trial " users are asking how to hook up tcv and set up headphones and etc. features which aren't in the trial version at all ..so it's obvious that it isn't a trial there using
Mensajes Thu 18 May 06 @ 3:54 pm
phillydj: one can use ONE TCV/TCCD to try with the trial version.

and the headphones?
Mensajes Thu 18 May 06 @ 6:04 pm
Not the headphones. Everybody knows that.

make it so no licenced users can post in the public forum and can only look at the normal one. most are just taking up space.

I mean come on guys, if the Demo is almost a full version, then some people will have questions. I am not a computer nerd but I have some knowledge of the pc. I have been pc djing for a couple of years and even I had a couple of issues. I think if you take away this forum from the no licensed users, just because they have that listed in their profile, you are only going to add to the work load of support. I am sure they are prepared to have the inbox filled ;).
Don't get me wrong theft is theft. We should not support theives. However, since it is difficult to distinguish them sometimes, don't kill the business. This is forum is one of the deciding factors when I purchased. If I got the cold shoulder, I would not be posting today.
It's Atomix's business and they will ulitmately decide who to support, but from reading the posts on here, I am sure they appreciate the very knowledgable people who answer a lot of the simple and not so simple questions. I know I would.

I think that sometimes we misunderstand...it is not our job as Professional, Experienced or even VIP Users to pre-judge or accuse Non-License Users as being crack heads. It is not my job or responsibility. I try to be as friendly as possible and if they admit that they are crack users, then I guide them into the right direction. That's it! The Support Team and up, have the ability to determine who is a crack user. Many people come as shameless crack heads...those folks I don't help, but I do try to be friendly. Other folks are genuine Demo Users and are offended to be called allegied thieves!
Remember that this Forum is part of a business. And the business is to help people so that they purchase the product...not offend them away or allow us simple users to do so.
Also 99% of ALL of us were crack heads. So if you are with out sin, still don't cast stones...
And don't forget...the more new users that come to VDJ, the more possibilities of continued free updates.

I agree with most of what you have said. However, you have made the same mistake, that you complain about. Saying "99% of ALL of us were crack heads" is foolish, and presumptuous. This indicates that you know every one of us personally, and that only one of us, has never used cracked software. You don't know me, so I am wondering how do you know that I have never used cracked software before? It's hard for me to believe, that I am the only one here, that has never used cracked software before. I know that I am not unique, and there are plenty of like minded people, that think as I do. So, let's stop "pre-judgeing". It doesn't look good on you either.

I can say I never used a cracked version of VDJ or any other software. I am sure that Mad Sound is pointing a finger specifically at any one person.

Don't assume that someone is using a cracked serial or that they know VDJ inside out like Pro Users!!
When I downloaded VDJ trial version a long time ago I read about functions that I was interested in but couldn't find it on my own how they worked(or if they even worked?). Most 1st time users don't know that multi-levels of VDJ even exist!! I had to register to the forum for quick help. With so many versions of VDJ a first timer doesn't know the difference of whether he/she can use certain functions and they have the right to ask a question just like you and I. That's where we all started(most of us anyway).
This is suppose to be a help forum for everyone. As users we are NOT the VDJ police! Let VDJ decide and take action if the assume a person is using a cracked version. It isn't going to change my life or yours. It's not in my interest or the interest of most users of who uses a cracked version or not. You should only worry about your own specific problems with VDJ... and helping others. That's what the forum is here for. If anybody is taking advantage of users of this forum it's the Atomix/VDJ company. They SAVE a lot of money letting their customers take care of software Qs & As.
Bottom line...
A large percentage of pirated users of any software that use their software for Professional use or within a large company end up purchasing the real thing in the end. I have never had a problem with using cracked software to learn(30 days in today's fast paced life (& children of my own) isn't enough time to learn anything new) but I ALWAYS end up purchasing the "real thing" for my business once I was comfortable with it. I once gave my kids CDs for Xmas that I downloaded and burned from the internet. They were pissed... They wanted the real thing with all the covers etc. It's just not the same as having the real thing.
Peace out,

LOL I think I would be upset too if my parents downloaded tracks for me and burned them onto CD, partially because its fake but also because the present costs less than the card :-)
