The question is....did you make the mix with Virtual DJ...or did you use other tools...

I can "recognize" the sound of time stretching algorithm.
Read what i wrote about time stretching in Vdj at this topic:

I dont recognise only that time stretching algorithm but also the blurred sound of VDJ !! :D

i dont get it... why does some keep saying that ?
vdj uses the lame mp3 - that are by most people seen as the best mp3 coder/decoder out there!
his mix was then recored by a great mp3 coder.. would not get any better sound in any other program!!
but of course there are things happening to a song EACH time its coded/recoded that makes the quality drop:
- one time when recorded from cd (and alot of the quality depends on WHO ripped it, and HOW)
- one more time when decoded in vdj
- and even one more time when recoded to a mix using lame in vdj
but this is not a vdj isssue, all programs have a quality drop each time a mp3 is recoded...
except from one thing, that is the settings that are used for the lame coder when he records his mix... I'm curious about what these settings might be, as that would effect very much the ending result
vdj sounds just fine to me...
..as of timestrech, this makes impact to sound in any program that has this feature (some better than others), so, true... try to keep it to a minumum.. the more stretch the worse..
