Tema: Help needed please

I have looked at all the help guides but I still don't get it. I have been asked to dj at a party and was gonna use virtual dj, but the problem is she wants me to play hip hop and r&b and I have never done that before I am more of a dance/trance kinda of person. Well I have been playin around on vdj but I can't seem so get the songs to mix cause of the words kinda overlap is there an easy way of doing it
