mirroring my desktop on my extended monitor? So basically two desktops.....so the projector will display what my pc monitor is.

Not sure what type of card you have but for my nivida card - there is something called config multi display.
chose - clone
shows the exact same thing on both displays

I just thought there would be a windows function to do this.

I don't think there's a function within windows per se but rather a function of the display driver.
