thanks to Sky broadband and others

aol are now so badly undercut they will do any thing to keep customers

i today was able to haggle my internet down to 9.99 per month inline with the sky broadband service cost for the same speed and retention

so if ur with aol might be very worth giving them a call and pretending to leave ;)

it was the same with O2 (mobile) and ntl:/virgin media (internet/tv/land-line) called them up saying i wanted to quit and they put you through to the 'cancelations department', otherwise known as the hardcore sales men that have at their discretion almost unlimited discounts.

for a service like cable, each customer (up to the maximum capacity of the system, obv) costs such a small amount that even if you paid them 5% of your bill they are stil turning a profit out of you. besides, its better that your money, however little, is going to them and not a competitor. honestly, phone them up even just to say 'sorry ive changed my mind, ill stay' just to see what they offer you.

new customers get massive discounts! fight for your loyal customer discounts by showing them that your not just going to pay over the odds through complacency!
