Hello
I got the new update of virtual dj (djc) working on vista with my hercules mk2 (new update installed)
It works ok but there is a delay on the CUE/Stop and PLAY butons in the console. Not fast response like when I was using it on XP. Its not the hercules cuz i have been using it for ever and never give me problems. Also I did all the troubleshooting for the box. Its there a way to fix this? Can some one please help?

big thankx to the vdj help team for unlocking my account.
i downloaded full 3.4.1 vista update but as the guy above it is not functioning to well

crossfader is slow and eratic
cannot plat track from consul,infact none of my controls now work ! any ideas

Yup, mines does it too and the cue, effect and loop buttons too. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, but it seems some times that people here ask and ask for help, they get it and then when others need help, they don't share their knowlege. We all Dj's here. Lets help each other out.

I have same problem.
I have CUE software which worked well on my laptop with Vista, however when I got the DJ console and tried to install with drivers downloaded from their site it came up with directx error. I uninstalled and installed one more time but same result.

The software sees Hercules sound card in configuration and the console is enabled. When I disabled the Hercules sound card the software started working again and yet it freezes with Console enabled.

I don't know what to do. I have already requested support but I do understand that it may not be CUE/VDJ related problem however I hope that somebody on the forum can guide me into making it work. I was hoping to use it this week end.


My laptop specs are:
XPS M1210: Intel Core Duo Processor T7200 (2.0 GHz/667MHz FSB/4MB Cache) with Vista business
LCD Panel: 12.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) display
Memory: 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
Graphics Card: 256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache
Hard Drive: 80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Optical Storage: 24X CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive

I had installed the drivers using same update and I have had no luck. Anybody knows any fix?

Hi, no all i did was to install the new hercules update this week, and then the full vista 3.4.1 from vdj
it works BUT with the problems that i describe earlier, what we need is SKYFXL to sort it out , sorry mate but that is all i know.

I guess it is time for a stupid question. When I uninstall my CUE/VDJ and driver for Hercules do I just go to control panel and uninstall program or do I have to delete all the files from my computer? Please explain how I can clean my laptop of CUE/VDJ and Hercules files.

i always delete from add.remove then go to my computer, c drive , program files ..then find i.e vdj , then i delete that folder and the same for hercules, BUT make sure you have your vdj/hercules software backed up.
 

I have one more question. I have disabled my UAC (user account control) in Vista. Is it necessary to still download updates/drivers as administrator? If yes then I would like to know how to download things as Administrator.

hi i downloaded as normal but i run the software as admin regards djamos
 

I just got tired of playing around with Vista and not getting anywhere so I wiped it out and installed XP Pro and now everything works. I am surprised that inspite of all the posts I generated here asking for help nobody from VDJ team or Mod bothered to lend a helping hand.

I just got the MK2 and did everything posted on this forum. Everything works however I cannot hear sound. I've plugged in my MK2 into my USB into my laptop. I cannot hear anything from the speakers. My volume is even up. I don't know what to do. Please do help?

This is what I think;
You spend this crazy money on software and hardware to try to make either you dj business better or for your own home hobbie, you spend it on the people that says their are the best. Then you encounter a litte problem, troubleshooting, and no one has an answer. You mail this people, no answer.I e-mailed hercules with th same info as I emailed virtual dj. Less than 24 hours I had an answer from Hercules, none yet from Virtual dj crew. It has been 2 weeks now. Common people, just in case no one knows, every dj software on the market works perfectlty with Vista, guess who doesnt? We here are not asking for much,just for some one to acknowledge that we are here asking for help. This software is an investment for the most of us. We only want what is right, SERVICE!!!!!!!
I work for headquarters of Guitar Center Stores and Guitar Center.com and we here are tired of people that have bought the bundle Vdj djc/hercules. Everyday people calling that they are not getting any help from neither side. I test equipment and software. Not too good lately for guillemot and atomix.
If anyone on VDJ Team reads this, Please, help. Thank You. Oh, and please, try not to come up with the hole "well 4.3 or 4 will work perfect with hercules on vista, all you got to do its buy the upgrade" because, 1st, is not truth, and 2nd, there is people that bought the bundle because they get both things for the price of 1. thank you

This is the problem:
Vdj (DJC) upgrade for vista installed,
Hercules MK2 with new update installed,
All works, but delay and slow response on buttons from hercules.
headphone seletor hs to be moved several times to catch up with the side you want to monitor.
cue/stop and play/pause buttons as well as faders and cross fader, effect, loop and cue buttons, all delay and slow, realy slow response.
Tested hercules on other software in Vista with phone support, perfect. So that could tell us its Virtual Dj
PLEASE HELP.

wow. Do you see what I mean?
2 days now, no post, no help, no answer.
This is what we are talking about. No service or support.
How can Virtual DJ/atomix think they are not gonna loose customers or are not gonna gain any new ones if they arent giving any customer sevice and support to their exixting customers.
Bad bad service.
Its ok. now we now the answer to that.
Its a sad situation. For us the customer that spend money and at 1 time we think was a waste of money.
