need advice from someone that has come across this problem or not with database updater as i've said before in other posts using back up lappy as practice until main one comes back or is renewed so not bothered if there is any screw ups. i open up du go to 1) select create new database 2)select drive, chose subfolder 3) start searching files into source file,transfer files into destination box (does each file have to be ticked individually cos i cant get to tick by selecting) 4 & 5) chose which fields i want in comment line press tag info then on completion press 6.
did one folder only shows new comment line on half the folder, tried again on another folder and it does not update comment line, any help or suggestions were i'm going wrong please....Tayla

are you sure the songs have tags?

each song is tagged starting from the top, artist/album(used for month since 2000)/year/genre/title/comments(used since purchase of vdj) with st patricks day just gone put five and half hours on to external drive deliberately with comments as with recent addittions only 50% & 7% respectively showed up in du, all songs that go into lappy are id tagged, somewhere du got it right then for whatever reason it went awol or i got lucky, looking at this pluggin it does eveything that vdj is not doing but i require in the id tags department so with your guideance a lot of people and myself will be well happy...thanks again for any help...Tayla
