Hi every body
the HDD is a seagate 500GB external with a ICY case using this since 6 month without probs but:
laptop is Fujisu amilo 350
well running virtual DJ for 3 years without any probs / last saturday what a surprise:
i normally erase the mp3 database due to changes and updates of MP3s / when i hooked up my 500 GB external drive to the computer all was normal / harware detected installed and can be used now / so far so good / then i started Virtual DJ in the club I am playing (version 4.0) / due to his missing database he ask me if he can look through the harddrives for mp3s / and off the process went almost half way through we had the message
runtime error R6025 pure virtual fuction which shuts down the program
I did not play around very long and got my laptop out / used the same external had drive and experienced the same problem / well the browser in Virtual dj was working but I had no search function / what a pain in the a.... / but we went pretty good round the night (06hrs playing) /
Back home on sunday and monday i tried my friends Virtual dj (version 3.4) on his machine with the same HDD same again / all reported message came / when scanning drive c, d , e om my computer or any other external drive all fine / so iscanned the drive with anvira security suite and Ad-Aware SE Personal and ashampoo anti spy ware all clean as a baby bum /
so three diff machines three diff versions of Virtual DJ but all show the same prob
what i do now i will transfer all mp3s to a new hadd and format the one who gave trouble / see what happens

please use a legal copy of pro it will relive these odd bugs caused by using cracked editions

what is the RPM Speed of your drive?

there is no hard ware attached to the program / the speed i am using is 45rpm

just to clearify the vip kayles words / i thought here are no pirates on board this site ???? /
well my two copies are shop bought in germany / a bit cheaper than in the UK ( 29.99 EURO ) /
yesterday i bought the home edition 2006 which is version 3.4 in german how lovely / and with the old EXT HDD still with reloading the new prog the same problem / anyway we are not talking here with any pirated cracked stuff / its the real thing
so to give you a clue to this runtime error is from mircosoft visual C++ / MS knows about this problem / you can read on MS homepage

so i did what i previously said / i copied bit per bit to a brand new EXT HDD seagate 500GB / well folks what a surprise it works no runtime error / the only i noted is that when the program completes the mp3 EXT HDD scan it automatically minimises / drops to the task bar but is not shutting down /
so what is left to do /
i got a new machine yesterday / intel duo core pcocessor and a lot of hi end stuff inside / try to make it running to day / the when all is up i try the old EXT HDD and see what is happening /
keep you all updated / i will pobably format the beast (old ext hdd) later
