Sometimes, the programm hangs when I do a search. A window is showing up with "sorting".
Is it possible to search withing this screen is coming up?

It looks ok.
I don't use the covers, so I set everything on the browser tab to No.
Then I recursed every root folder.
Do I need more things to do if I don't want to have a freeze (sorting) when I'm searching for a song?

Yes the first couple times trying to sort or even retrieve the entire database can be interesting. Again recommend that you do this in chunks, it makes a difference in the long run. Recurse your folders like you did for the importing process - then click on the Artist column let it sort, then the Title column again let it sort. Do this for each folder chunk. When you have covered your whole collection. The type an asterisk * in the Search box and click on the Artist column - LET IT Work. Once done - click on the Title column - LET IT Work.
If you have done this... then things should go well.

I did all that.
Tested it ( for an half hour just searched for some tiltles) and it didn't freeze at all.
Hopefully it stays like this.
