Tópico: Displaying my own URL in a ShoutCast

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi all,

I'm streaming from VDJ through my own Shoutcast server, however I don't have the option in the Record area to change the URL from http:\\www.virtualdj.com to something of my own choice!

Points

1. All advertising for the product is of course important

- Yes, but should this be to the inconvenience of the user. Sorry, but I don't want my name on the Shoutcast server to be a hyper link to VDJ website.

2. I could loop back my Master output to another Soundcard Input and take the Shoutcast input from there into Winamp and use the config section in Winamp to apply my URL.

- Problem with this is that my listeners wont get the benefit of a play list, which is neatly managed and transmitted through VDJ in the current configuration. Unless someone can tell me a way of sending the track name I just put on my Virtual Vinyl to the Shoutcast server?

3. I'm not a registered member

- Accepted, however I really have not found an application as good as VDJ now through all trials and it's taken me a while to iron out all the little niggles. However the new version has swayed me to be a signed up, paid up member of the VDJ club. Things like the point mentioned in this post are why people review software before commiting to spend a lot of money.
Hopefully this wont put you off helping me until then?

Thanks

If you like the product please support it buy purchasing a license.

Didn't I just explain that in great detail? The product is of no use if it doesn't do what a user needs it to do, that's why it's got trial time.

Also, you are not a moderator, so please don't use this thread to bump up your post count!

Not doing either....my personal feelings are just as I stated. The Trial is good for 30 days, there are limitations built into the trial. These limitations are reserved features for users who have bought the product. If you have used it longer that that, you are using a cracked copy. Personally I will not offer help to a cracked user. My view on this is not unique, some here might help you, some will not. I repeat, if you like the software, please support it buy purchasing a licensed version. BTW you are not a mod either, hence your statement is out of line. And I am a moderator on the Radio thread of these forums.

there is a way to do this for pro users :)

hope to see you with us soon

That's great news, thanks sky! :)
