yeah of course. just make sure no power is going through when you do it. also make sure that none of the connections are touching when tie'em up or use buttconnectors. try not to use the twist caps.

That is beautiful news as I am building a SFF tomorrow and I know without a modular PSU it is gonna be cramped.

again just make sure ther is NO POWER going through & no wires touch eachother in the process. OR U WILL DAMAGE either your psu or motherboard. you've been warned. don't want you blaming me haha. but yes u can do it.

one more tip....after u unplug it....turn it on again with the power plug unplugged this way it totally takes away the power.

I was actually planning on hookin it all up, saving a few for drives down the line, then after I know it all works modifying it. The ole lady would kill me if i spent anymore money. BUT I need to keep all the wires for awhile as if somethin happens i need to throw it back in my other pc.

well for future refferance there are power suplies that you can pick and chose what wires to use and not to theres a pic of one on the home page here

now i know that its high priced but it keeps things nice and clean and less interupted airflow but there are cheaper ones out there but as the saying goes you get what you pay for

I know i had one but cant afford one that will power my system sooooo that is why this question came up, thanks for your suggestion:)

thats nice!

Man if I had that money That would be what I would buy:)

its nice...but i wouldn't pay that either.

well i wouldnt pay that either but it was jsut a quick example but ive seen some of the same styles in about the 600 watt range go for about $110 but for what i run 600 watt is plenty and it was a no lights in the unit and very basic but the one i have now was 75 and all the wires are in metal sheilded and all the wires that dont get used i tuck and hide out of sight and out of the air flow. its never seen by anyone but me but i still have to have it neat and tidy in there or it will drive me nuts
