guys im trying to record thru my mixer no ttables... I recorded the file but when I went to hear it.. it seems it recorded my cueing. wierd... rather than just the master output.... in other words..what i was hearing in my ear prior to bringing it in was recorded. Not what was pumping out the speaker. In essense, the system recorded the cue, not the output.

so you have vdj in external mixer mode, and the master out on the mixer is going to your soundcard input? did you correctly set the input on the recording options page? you should have that set to line-in and a dropdown appears to select the soundcard with the line in. i think if you left it set to master, thats probably why you hear it because you arent using the vdj crossfader anymore so you would always hear both channels
