I just D/L the video for Toby Keith - "As good as I once was" and watched it for the first time.

Damn that was funny. I needed it for a wedding I'm DJ ing in a week or so, It's a second wedding and the best man is slipping me a 100 bucks to play that video right after the first dance. I'd have done it for free, but he insisted. I'm thinking he has a bet with the groom that I won;t play it.

It's a second wedding.

yeah, its funny. just too many breaks and too much background noise in it to play in the club. kills the floor movement.
ya know, with video being all the rage in clubs these days, you would think that artists and directors would stop putting so many breaks in the videos. some of the most popular songs we have, i cant play the video for. sucks.

and if think that video is funny. there's a group called Wild Horses http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=112211346 that we had as an opening act for one of our concerts. they have a "Viva Viagra" song that is even funnier than the toby keith. can buy it from them as a download for 99 cents on the myspace. that one and "big boned sexy woman" are about the only ones i'll play if anyone asks.

I notice that problem as well. I've been taking the video - muting the audio that comes with the video and laying the regular MP3 under it.
I've been using the software that comes with my cheap dazzle DVD recorder - Studio 10.

i couldn't do it, sitting for hours trying to sync the audio with the video, then watching it to make sure the lips and vocals were synced. would rather not play at all. there's a club in killeen about 5-10 miles from us that does that, but it gives ya a headache to watch cause they just can't seem to sync their videos. some are off so bad that people still come to our club and are amazed we can play music and video at the same time... don't want to bust their bubble that it isnt rocket science, so i keep the "magic" alive.. or something.
9:13 in the morning.. havent gotten sleep, and now i gotta play with 5.1
God bless caffiene...

I don;t find it as difficult as completely remixing a new song.

as long as the video and audio are the same BPM I find it easy to do. Takes a bit of effort - true but worth it.
