Well, after reading this thread, it'S clear to me that the dev team did a great job on the new update, because the only thing people are complaining about is the size of the wave. I think the improvements on thias new version outweigh the mere size of the wave. I think we can all live with that. GREAT JOB DEV TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (That's right, I'm yelling cause I'm excited.)

Never seen a release so clean.
Development did a killer job on this one.
I wish more people like John would post.

Surely DEV TEAM made a good work so I must make my congratulations to this but in the meantime I have to say that criticisms be useful to develop in the best way a thing (this time we are talking about a software).

Imagine how a horse feels after a race...
Like I said, with all of the good that comes with this release, you'd think more people would be posting that rather than complaining about a silly load bar size.
I can see the need to anticipate a break before it is on the active wave form, but what I don't understand is how this is less visible.
A break is clear as day on either.

To avoid not being able too see a break I use the cue points. My eyes are going with my age and I use cue points...saves the headache of eye strain. I have been doing so since v4.3.....

Messed with it for a few hrs now.....b.p.m calc ( a big achilles hl) is now officially resolved according to me, the nu t.c engine is superb ( still gotta figure out the relevance of the new circle waveform display in t.c configuration)....I like the fade out with volume control in the video section more than the actual video capture he he...(maybe coz I'd already solved that..$70 later...). The needle dropping issue fix is absolutely lovely, especially or precisely in connection with auto play after loading a track, so as far as timecodes, I don't know how much better it can get..:-)
I use the turntablist skin on both my machines and the complaints about the size of the preview waveform are irrelevant to me, I wouldn't have noticed them if I hadn't read the posts, but even then, the only use I would think one would have for it is to check the cue points and loop lengths of which the big waveform display above magnifies....all that talk about breaks and intros just means you haven't messed with your records and therefore any issues here should be referred to good ol' DR Headphones..
I had to reduce my sound settings in the perfomance section then build it back up while configuring my timecodes, but other than that the response to touch soundwise is markedly improved.
I was one of the first ones to complain about rev 7 and its mk2 issues, whose fixes took us down a long road especially with the frequency of use and I'm happy to see that after thoroughly vetting it using the console, shit looks just fine. I will try and use it for a veeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyy long time and see how it handles the stress, otherwise you have one satisfied customer here, thank you very much!
Rock on.....

This got buried a few posts back --
Straight from the Development Team during testing --
Quote :
A perfect signal should have an outside circle perfectly round (adjust with stereo slider), and fit to the small lines on the view 1 (adjust with gain). TC up and TC down should be set so that in view 3, the three lines of point are well separated in their respective zones. Moving the stereo should be enough to get a perfect fit for the view 3 (a perfect fit on view 3 is equivalent to a round circle on view 1).
Additional insight to the View 3
Quote :
If you want to manually fine-tune the detector, you can switch to view 3 and move the "TC up" and "TC down" until the middle stream is in the red zone, and the upper and lower streams in the green zone. Autoconfig does it automatically, but manual adjustment can often yield better results.
