Is there a way to have VDJ not react to the crossfader from the Hercules DJ Console?

I already informed with Hercules, and they told me that is something up to the software to handle.

Nice would it be to have just an option to turn it off.

Just asking because I am working with an external mixer, and using the console just as a controller.

And if I by accident touch the crossfader, by manipulating the jog wheels, things can be screwed....

Had it in the past, and took me a while to find out why 1 desk was not having any sound, although it was playing in VDJ and everything looked correct.

Now that I know I pay special attention to it, but it is still very annoying.

And advise is welcome.

If this can be handled by creating a skin, or sortcut please let me know, and I'll be happy to have a look at these options.

Or you can map the crossfader to do nothing, in the console mapper, I guess
If its mapable... (not sure, not all buttons and sliders on the console are)
 
oops, can't find the console mapper anymore.
Anybody knows where to find it again.
I recall seeing it, but all of a sudden I can't find it back.

And indeed than it should appear.... but it is not.??
 
A very simple way to sort your problem just use bluetac to keep the crossfade in the middle.
 
I believe its been posted before but the Console mapper has been removed from the latest DJ Console driver set. However, apparently you can use a normal 3rd party midi mapper (as the DJ console is midi-driven).
 
when i don't wanna use the crossfader of the hdc. i take the knop off from the fader.
 
You can setup VDJ to use independent outputs on the HDJC and then run those to an external mixer. The crossfader on the HDJC would then do nothing. I believe you need the full version to do this, but I could be wrong.
 
That doesn't get around the fact of accidentally touching the fader whilst cueing though.
