I djed a few times this week with this program..luckly it was just rock 80's..but next week is dance hip hop,so I was wondering if the wire that goes from the computer to the mixer is in the head phone slot..how can you hear the songs??

either way you need at least 2 output from the computer or sound card to the mixer.
you have the following options
1. headphones >> line 1 ; audio >> line 2 (vice versa)
if you plan to preview on one deck and let virtual dj auto mix on the other, then use this option.
2. left deck >> line 1 ; right deck >> line 2
if you plan to use virtual dj like a pro and mix on both sides then use this option. set the software fader to scratch in the middle and mix'n play with the volume tabs in the physical mixer.
