Video recording is not currently possible in the Apple Mac version of VirtualDJ.
This is due to the lack of suitable accelerated video functions in MacOS. On a PC, thanks to the gaming industry and DirectX, accelerated video is well supported (Hence the wide availability of 3D games compared to Mac) and this can be utilised to encode and record video on the fly as well as higher performance for live video mixing.
Presently, access to accelerated functions on Mac are limited, so video recording utilises too much CPU to be usable. In the future, if suitable accelerated functions become available in MacOS, video recording may be possible.
For now, if you wish to record video on a Mac, you will either need to use an external recording device (E.g: Digital video recorder (DVR)) or install BootCamp on your Mac, which will allow you to install Windows and run the PC version of VirtualDJ.
