Hi , appreciate any help, apologies if this has been asked before did search ...

I have a fairly old pc - 5/6 yrs , and whilst the software works fine , i cannot get the sound to come out of the speakers whilt the deck i want to listen to to come out of my headphones.

having looked at the soundcard slots at the back and front, i only have one speaker socket (green colour) at the back, and then the headphone socket at the front of the tower.

if i plug the headphones in - no sound from the speakers.

do i need a new soundcard, or can i purcharse a split audio cable, so that i can plug my headphones and speakers in to that instead??
or would a usb headphone solve the problem ??

mainly a bedroom dj primarily so any basic solutions would be great

many thanks

You can use only one output at the time on your machine. You should get 5.1 sound card for full options.

You can get anything that has 5.1 output like Sound Blaster USB or Maya44.

If you're gonna spash out on a sound card, why not go the whole hog and get an external console with a sound card built in...

Cheers,

I'm having a similar issue. Onboard mobo sound card has 5.1. I'd like to:

Connect RMX to PC via USB (duh)
Connect headphones to either 5.1 sound in the back of PC or straight to RMX for previewing
Connect logitech speakers to 5.1 sound in the back

Will this wok? What options must I select to enable to do this?

Thank you.
