I think on this forum there are lots of FAN BOYs.
So if I was to post what is the best DJ software on Maudio's website and was told TORQ would that make them fan boys?
Its a bit like asking Microsoft do they prefer Windows or Mac OSX!
If you like that software great it has some strong points and some weak points like many software's.
People need to think to them selves "what is the best for me" because every one has different needs.
If you would like to suggest some ideas why not post them here as a positive suggestion.

Have people gone brainless here?
The post is for reading about all DVS and there respective features. Torq is just ONE DAMM EXAMPLE or I have to post on example of each to make the dam point? I'm not asking or wishing to add any features to Virtualdj on this post.
I AM NOT ASKING ANY OF YOU WHATS THE BEST DJ SOFTWARE I'M GIVING YOU A LINK TO READ ABOUT ALL OF THEM AND THERE FEATURES.
But I guess that's asking to much huh!!!!!
By the way didn't you guys read the post I started but never finished? Virtual Dj Vs Torq Now that's a straight up comparison, that I can do because I have both products, but I don't have all of them to make a comparison of each one and make a critical analysis in an optimistic way and point out whats good about this and whats bad about the other one, SO THIS LINK GIVES YOU A PLACE TO READ ABOUT ALL OF THEM.
Is this understandable or am I in another level of thinking huh?
@skyfxl
In case U didn't know. Torq users are not to happy with the new release of Torq 1.5 and are reverting to Torq 1.0.7. So If I post Whats the best Dj sofware on there forum they will end up post replying SERATO. That I know because I already did. Because of Torq 1.5 issues users have been very disappointed and have jump ships. This has gone very bad in the Torq forum people are bashing M-Audio that bad that the Mods have been locking those post.
@Dj Flex Chicago
I also want to say Virtual dj and I've been Dj'ing since 1984

Everything has it's good and weak points and the weak points can turn a more complex project into so long one it hurts the spontaneous creativity when you need to juggle different programs and approaches etc. I would like to see something thats Live + VDJ + Fusion in single package and with studio quality algorithms or ability to easily map controls in external (vst) plugins into simpler controls similar to Live & Trilian. Latter may be possible today in VDJ with editing the xml but I've seen other programs accomplish same task more simply.
My biggest issue with VDJ is the audio routing & algorithms internally. To get around this, I'd have to run 3-4 instances of VDJ with 1 deck in use each then use external mixer or other software to hook them up. This is the only way to get around the problems VDJ has in routing (inflexible, outputs cue/headphones into master out in certain normal configs, made 2 decks in mind, bugs with some asio drivers like rearoute that don't happen in other soft with same driver), eq (crackles at middle, quality), and master tempo (the best and only usable setting is so slow you can only run 1 deck because vdj can't use multiple cores efficiently).
Recently Ableton announce Max for Live. I'm waiting to hear them announce VDJ for Live that makes VDJ just a plugin in Live, kinda like using Rewire would but in more integrated way and ability to record all VDJ mix automation and go back and edit the mix later non-destructively and purely in control movement and not audio..

the problem with a post like this posted here is most people already invested in vdj so this post is better to be posted in a dj forum not a software forum. its like sitting at mcdonnalds and asking the workers and customers if they would rather be at burger king.

I prefer burger king over McDonald....but In & Out Burger (As far as I know only in California, Arizona, Nevada & New Mexico) is by far the best. Everything is fresh, they even make their own fries from real potatoes they slice themselves, Wendy's would be a distant second best.
Okay, sirkitbreaker, now you got me hungry so I'm going to lunch...or maybe I'm just out to lunch!

Actually.....before VDJ I used to use WinAmp to play music videos for several years at sports bars as far back as 2000 and that autofade feature came in real handy.
Almost every strip club Dj I have ever known (until recently now that a lot are switching to VDJ) used WinAmp or Media player exclusively and probably 50% of the digital wedding Djs in Arizona use Winamp or Media player (actually most have now switched to ITUNES).
We all laugh about it, but if you are not in a club situation where you need to or want to beat mix, scratch, etc the player programs work perfect for stip club, wedding , karaoke and bar Djs who are more about personality and mic work then technical prowess.

This kind of topics make me laugh -
Mac or Pc ¿?
Coca Cola or Pepsi ?
Vdj or Serato ?
Come on guys ! why our forum is so boring now ??
I remember 2004 , was amazing times for vdj forum , now we have a lot of things like this topic .
Is not better to ask for new features ?? or have a good idea ??
why we must to look other softs if vdj works perfect ??
Is necessary to ask here if serato is better or tork ??
Try to go to tork forum & ask the same .

DJ Chachi,
Thanks, I am aware of this I personally have one of each DVS system for testing and integrating controllers ect and try to keep on top of what is going on.
I understand your logic behind wanting to make a personal choice, that is very natural.
Now as to Torq, I own the 1.5 update its not worked for me, I have forwarded the details of this to Maudio Tech support.
However for others it has worked fine, I will not judge the product overall on my one bad experience.
I would suggest to people they make their own choices as to what suits them by trying out the demos.
So far im not really seeing what you are suggesting for improvement at this stage.
The logic behind that website is for people to show the features people would like to see.
What would you like to see, perhaps post it in the new features forum.

I understand your sayings. Well Torq 1.5 works fine for me, it has a little drift when scratching but nothing that bad that I can't handle. For plain mixing and scratching it works 100%, the thing is Virtual dj work 100 times better. I have everything I need on virtualdj, you see the way virtualdj was made I can use controller, TT's or a mouse at the same time. Then why I bought Torq? Well I bought it for the sound card, at the time the Torq package was on special, buying the complete package was a real deal because it was at the same price of the sound card all alone. That's how Torq got to my hands.
Originally the post was so you guys can check out whats rolling out there, not to make a comparison with virtualdj. Let me put it this way; Virtualdj is a very very incredibly planed piece of software, is one of those things in life that when you sit back to think you say to your self, Dam this is one of the best things I bought In my life.
So really guys, I was just sharing some Info, and people took it as a comparison, people thought I wasn't happy with virtualdj and I was directing you to see some other things to buy. If you guys thought that, well I'm sorry, that was not the Idea. If you already own Virtualdj you already have made the best decision.
By no way on this post I'm trying to imply to add Torq features to Vdj, I just use Torq as an example. I know there is a section for that sort of thing. Trust me, virtualdj is fine the way it is, it could get better tho, everything in life has the potential to get better, like your savings account, it can be good, but I bet if you keep saving it can get better huh!
P.S. By the way who is making fun of Windows Media Player? LOL
