Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a secondhand Imac to have setup in the spare room and have found one within my budget.

Question is - is this spec any good to run VDJ? I use an RMX and I don't do any video mixing, audio only.


G4 7445 - 1.25Ghz Processor
512MB Memory (Maximum of 1GB)
80GB Hard Drive
OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger)

Any comments appreciated

This are the recommended system requirement on mac.

Mac OSX 10.4.7 or higher
Mac/Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz or higher
1 GB RAM of higher
200 MB free on the hard-driver

Minimum system requirements on mac.

Mac OSX 10.4 or higher
G4 1.5 GHz or Intel Core Duo 1.6GHz
512MB RAM

so will having a slightly lower processor than the minimum mean that VDJ will refuse to run or just not run as well??

Hi,

Having the slightly lower processor, i can't guaranteed that it will fare good or average with VDJ even only for audio.

And I honestly suggest it be better if you buy a new imac or just the new macbook etc. It quite affordable these days;)
