Hey everyone, I'm new to virtual dj and I have a question i hope some one can answer. Lets say i have two songs on my two tables. Now i want the beat and shit from one song but i only want the vocals from the other song. Hypothetically speaking, lets say i have the song Thriller by Michael Jackson on one side and Hollaback girl by gwen stafani in the other, how could i have the thriller beat and guitar and shit but have gwen stafani singing hollaback girl with that in the back, with out the obnoxious hollaback girl backround beat??

Try messing with the Equaliser. Vocals are mostly in the mid range, bass beats in the lows and high hats in the highs. Try killing the highs and lows in the song you want the vocals from and kill the mids on the song you want the beats from. It's not perfect but see if it's good enough for you. Otherwise try to get the Accapella and instrumental versions of the songs.

I've tried mashing some different vocal/instrumentals together by killing some of the equalizers from the vocals, but it doesn't work very well when trying to dub over other instrumentals. Are there any good websites for trance/tech/house acapellas?

just try looking for them by typing in acapella, wherever you normally get your music online
