Im using a macbook pro and i cant listen to headphones. Asio 4 all is only for pc.

try the prelistening knob fader on the vci it should be to the left as opposed to itch its all to the right.

Any update on this.. ?

I am also running a MAC with 6.03, and would like to use my VCI-300 with Virtual Vinyl but cannot get the Headphones to function.. anyone have a fix for this.. I am willing to try anything at this moment not to go back to my b52 prodigy fx..

Let me know if you would..

thanks

I think everyone is having the same problem!! I had tech support working with my computer for hours!! Actually it doesnt work with a PC either!! And that is with the ASIO 4 All drivers!!

I will try those settings and see if they work..It looks like I have them set up that way...but I will check again. I would rather use the
VCI on my Mac...but will try any thing now.

I was told by VDJ tech support that ASIO 4ALL 2.9 "does not work with VDJ". I uninstalled 2.9 and installed 2.7. Let me do more testing...By the way...are you the only one who has this workingwith the vci-300?

Hello,

Well some users have report some problems when they use ASIO4ALL 2.9. IT is not ALL USERS and certainly not VirtualDJ, but the device it self. That's why I also told you to test with Asio4all 2.9 as Cioce has it working. I wonder what could it be different in your setup that has been so hard to configure, but I'm really willing to have this solve. If there's anything I could do to help you I would do it.

i use ASIO4ALL 2.9 together with the vci 300, it works well with virtual dj.
headphone works well with cioce's settings

Ok..I have tried all setups as described. It still does not work. I have also checked the speaker setup and tried different ways..i.e. quadraphonic, etc. I get the feeling that VDJ is trying to say it is my equipment at fault. How can this be if many users are having the same issue? How can this be if I can prelisten in Serato Scratch and Itch? I count ONLY 2 users that says it works...I can make screen shots and show that I have it set up just like what is shown in this thread...and it still dont work. I have been a user of VDJ since around 2003. I have owned Numark Cue and still own Hercules RMX, and recently purchased the VCI-300 after waiting to hear that VDJ Pro has supported it. I bought VDJ Pro and have become very dissapointed. VDJ points the finger at the equipment and Vestax...but they advertised that it would work. I give VDJ props for the button mapping and jog wheel controls...they work PERFECTLY on both my PC and MAC!! but my issue is the sound (pre-listen to be exact). I can get it to work..neither can A WHOLE LOT of users. VDJ..pick up the phone...call Vestax...call Apple, call who ever to get this working!! Lets work together, after all, we paid money for Vestax, and paid money for VDJ pro...you have made your money!! Stop pointing fingers and get this working for your customers sake!! We love you both..but please help!!

As i remeber correctely - Atomix never told that the VCI-300 Audio device will be supported. The only thing i remember is the fully implementation as a full working controller. You need an audio driver for usage of the soundcard of the device.

Atomix do not provide any skoundcard drivers ever. The ASIO drivers needed for the device normaly be provided by the manufacturer. In that special case - Vestax did not offer any ASIO drivers for the soundcard. So it's yours to setup the card via ASIO4All. In fact - ASIO4All is NO product of Atomix so how should they be responsible for problems with that software ?

BTW, the controller elements are fully mapped. Just the cue/master fader is not mappable because it controlls the hardware of the soundcard and did not send any MIDI notes.

[Edit] Oh i see i was wrong.... Was the headphone volume fader, not the cue/master. Sorry, my fault.

please try this setting

i use asio4all 2.9 , everything works very well with these settings.

I use the VCI-300 with ASIO4ALL 2.10 beta 1 under Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and I have no problems with it.

My setup is as per http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/cioce/blogs/3832/_ENG__Vestax_VCI-300_audio_setup_on_Virtual_DJ_6_0_2_PC_%28or_above%29.html

Headphone pre-listening works perfectly (Check the IF_CURVE knob next to the headphone socket - This controls headphone gain and may be turned down?)

NOTE: The headphone volume knob is hardware and controls the volume of the internal sound card directly. In the default mapping, MASTER/CUE is also mapped the wrong way around, so you hear only master then turned to CUE and the cued track when turned to master. To correct, change the mapping for MONITOR_SELECT to param_invert & headphone_mix

Groove problem was solve. Solution is this:

Check in your VCI-300 if the IF CURVE is all down (INPUT FADER CURVE CONTROL)??? because it can be the problem here. If it is all down, you will not have gain in headphones, but you could listen to them in Itch... IF Curve has a different action on Itch and with other software. If you have Input Fader curve control at all volumen, you can have also distortioned sound, because it can add 10dbs to your sound output... so check on this. This knob its right next to the headphone jack (its mapped to headphone_gain, if it is all down, the headphones don't work).

(thanks to Cyder & JPBoggis on the testing of VCI-300 who find out about IF knob)

Hi,

the Thread you are answering in about 1 year old ;-) I don't think that he still has this problem ;-)
