Tópico: Windows Vista vs. Windows XP - problem with VDJ and my sound card

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello!

So I have VDJ 6.0.2 pro version, and I have a windows XP Toshiba computer and I am using the Serato SL1 box as my sound card.

When I open VDJ, and I go to settings

1. Inputs - NONE
2. Outputs - EXTERNAL MIXER
3. Soundcard - SL 1
- Phono or Line = I use LINE

everything works fine

--------------------------------------------------------

I just got my new Gateway windows vista laptop (soon to be upgraded to windows 7)

when I use the same settings as above, under sound card , there is NO SL 1 box choice. The new laptop is for my VDJ video mixing, and I want to start using it with VDJ audio and get used to it. I have installed the latest serato drivers on both laptops, and have updated VDJ also , but nothing

DJ Rudd suggested to use ASIO drivers, but I was not sure how to set them up and I did not want to experiment at my gig

any suggestions how I can get the SL 1 box to work with the new vista laptop

thanks!

Umm.. when you see the drop down for soundcard, do you see ASIO SOUNDCARD?

It should say

SL1
ASIO SOUNDCARD

Do you say any of that?

Yes

under ASIO , it says sl1 , mp1 or mp4 (dont remember), and it has one other option also

I did select sl1, and hit apply, but when I played music, it sounded distorted and was breaking up

Im havimng the same problem also. I have just purchased a new laptop preloaded with windows 7. I have installed my sl1 and serato scratch live just as I have done in the past, but no SL1 option shows up in the drop down bar under sound setup? ANy help?
