I'm just wondering how complex a process it is and whether it's worth putting in the time and effort. How long would you anticipate it taking a complete newbie to make a VDJ skin?
Looking to create some simple skins with dual player, but also some more 'attractive' ones.
Is it relatively easy to do for someone who's never done that kind of thing before or would you need previous experience and software etc?

It's not difficult, you need an image editor (Paint.Net, Photoshop, GIMP for example) and an XML editor (Notepad, PSPad, Programmers Notepad for example). Licensed users have a skin creation tool available that lets you open the image and create the XML graphically.
