Tópico: Technics 1200 with Virtual Vinyl?

Hey guys, Im new to djing. I am planning on purchasing 2 technics 1200 for 700$. I can't afford to purchase Rane Scratch Live and thought I can go with Virtual Vinyl. My question is, Can you use Virtual Vinyl with Technics? Even though this is virtualdj.com, can you use any other sound card if you just download rane scratch live and buy just the time coded vinyls? Thanks guys

can you use any other sound card =most soundcards yes ..if you just download rane scratch live and buy just the time coded vinyls? RSL and VDJ are 2 different programs, but you can use serato Time coded vinlys with Virtual dj/Virtual VInyl.

IDK i never used SSL but i think its Rane specific...VDJ has a library of soundcards you can use...
 
If your going to buy virtual vinyl then your all set cause it comes with a soundcard. Thats why I went with it, just seemed like the best way to go.
 
Lets make things easier for you.. First of all, 700 bucks for 2 technics 1200s is too much. You can get them for 400 thru 500 bucks used in mint condition...(Possibly with needles) For serato, all you need is just the box. You can buy it on craigslist for 300- 400 bucks and get all the free updates. For time code use.. It's really good. Second is, if you are going to choose from either Virtual dj or virtual vinyl... Virtual dj is better because its more updated than Virtual vinyl. 3 The.. virtual vinyl card is cheap. The M-Audio connectiv is better for virtual dj.

If you buy the serato box, you can use it with Virtual DJ or Serato. Then you can determine which program works best for time code use.
