The mapper has nothing to do about that. The Rmx is not installed correctly, so obviously VDJ will not be able to use is properly.
1) First, right-click on both problematic devices in Device Manager, and select Properties.
What is the message in the Device Status box ?
2) Once you have that information, right-click again both devices and select Uninstall. In the window that appear, be sure to check the box "Delete the drive software for this device".
Once done, disconnect and reconnect the Rmx, and let the drivers for the 2 "new" device install automatically.
3) If the last option didn't provide positive results:
- Open Windows Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative tools > Event Viewer
- From the left column, select Windows logs >system.
- Let the window refresh , then right-click on System > Save all event as ...
Give the file a name, then from the next window, select the box Display information for these languages, then English.
Then send me the two files (check your message box for my info)

Well I am not going to chime in because you have 3 other people giving you three differenting directions ...
2nd - You were given explicit directions several times and still decided to do it your own way ...
3rd - You still cannot seem to post a reply without quoting the post right before your own ....
Hope you get it worked out - because you don't need another person giving you direction ....

Thank you for your concern but I personally like when someone is “quoted” in my threads..
AND I do believe if is quoted , a message is sent to that person that ur quoting.. Right.. Yes.. No.. Maybe.. And please.. if you cant find it in yourself to help by example then you really not doing me any help.. As I asked U yesterday to refer to the line that the issue is developing from but unfortunately you don’t.. why.. only you can answer that..
SO please refer to this procedure your talking about. Well ,, you really didn’t say what it was. But please due quote what it is that I keep doing after I’m told to do it..
Or something helpful in detail
Thank you

Hi Paulett,
I'm just wondering if you ever solved your problem? The reason that I'm asking u is because I have the same problem with my Hercules RMX.
Windos 7 won't reconize it

You've tried downloading the latest driver ?
Also be sure to follow these instructions:

Thanks for the help DJ Phasto
I think I'm almost done. I'm just getting another error when I open up Virtual DJ an error pops up and it says "error in the ASIO sound driver "
-Any idea on how to fix this problem ?

Hello Sonik4u,
- If you get the error message "error in the ASIO sound driver", go in DJ Console Rmx control panel and change the audio mode to ASIO.
- If you get the error message "error in the Directsound driver", go in DJ Console Rmx control panel and change the audio mode to WDM.
