I also agree hybrid turntables are very convenient. I've never played with the numark x2 so I can't comment on the quality or how much better it is in comparison to the Gemini deck. If price is somewhat of an issue then I'd say go with the Geminis because you can find them for about ~500 or less. if cost isn't an issue then I'd say go the numark route.

thanks for all the help guys :D but after all that i think i've decided to go with a timecoded vinyl setup.
i sure learned alot and im sure others did so the efforts were not wasted :) and in the distant future i might get some gemini cdt-05's.

if anyone knows anything else im still be interested in the concept

lamont whoever won that gemini got a good deal at $122.50 (102.50+20 shipping). imo a hybrid table should be at least $250. its too bad gemini doesnt have a reputation of quality so ppl dont really dont even look at it.

i recently sold my numark x2 on ebay for $225 and it had a broken arm.

No kidding. I almost thought about buying it too just to have an extra around to play with. But I realize I really don't need too... I think that is one of Geminis best products they ever produced.
