so i just got a new laptop and installed virtual dj and the drivers for the numark dj io so i can use with my mixtrack, but whenever i select the Asio driver in the setup configuration so that i could hear it thru the headphones hooked up to the DjIo,any track playin will just play really slow and skip the entire time until the program crashes,or i unselect the Asio driver and restore the settings back to normal...been dealin with this for a few hours now,and from browsing through these forums and google,im guessin its a latency problem, but i cant seem to figure out how to fix it...
mind you this same setup works exactly fine if i hook it up to my desktop so i dont kno what the problem could be,any help would be appreciated...
laptop specs if needed:
Acer Aspire 5253
6gm of ram
amd c-50 processor 1.00ghz
windows 7 64bit

you might look to see if you have a hardware conflicts between the items you have hooked up via usb.

I'm having literally the EXACT same problem. I've also got an Acer Aspire laptop and have been working on fixing this for WEEKS with no success... yet it works perfectly fine on my other computer. i'm starting to think it may be a problem specific to acer laptops... is that possible?

..........I am also using an Acer Aspire, 4G Ram, Dual core 2G Processor, with a MIDI controller and A Numark DJ/IO to powered speakers......The problem Ive dealt with is almost the exact opposite of yours...I leave my DJ/io on ALL the time and play my PC thru my powered Speakers and the Numark..That way I can fire up VDJ and it automatically starts the ASIO driver and I'm up and running.....When I'm done though, I have to momentarily disconnect the Numark IO USB from the PC to let it "Reset" and turn off the ASIO driver...If I don't the u tube vids playing thru now for example, sound all slow and muddy..........Here lies your problem I believe....It's in your control panel under sound settings....Turn off your PC audio card (probably Realtek) and select the numark card (DJ/IO) as your primary output. Now when u fire up VDJ if everything else is set up correctly, the ASIO drivers will kick in and everything will be great....Remember though, when u turn off the VDJ, unplug the Numark USB and then plug it back in 4 or 5 seconds later so the PC or IO can "reset" so to speak and u should b good.....I'll monitor this post, let me know how it goes!.....l8tr....
I see that you are a no license user...that might b part of it too....I hear the guys say the free version of VDJ is not compatible with alot of stuff.....Might email Atomix and ask........
